The Cabildo, Ayuntamiento of Arrecife, Asociación Colombolanzaroteña and the Federación de Asociaciones de Inmigrantes have organised a special weekend to bring together the different nationalities of residents in Lanzarote.
The Festival de Los Pueblos will be held in the Parque Ramírez Cerdá in Arrecife on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April.
The programme includes cultural events from Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Netherlands, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Middle East and Africa amongst other countries. The aim of the weekend is to strengthen cultural ties and improve the coexistence between people of different background.
You could combine this event with a visit to the capital, the park is situated on the front in the centre of Arrecife, close to the main shopping area Leon y Castillo, Saturday market, Charco de San Gines and Marina Lanzarote.

12:00 Opening of the festival with dignitaries from the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Ayuntamiento de Arrecife and representatives of the different countries included in the event. Poet Elvira Rodríguez Meso reading “Mi Bandera”
