The body of a man was discovered in a blue camper van at the stunning beach of Playa de Famara, just before 15:00 yesterday.
Early reports indicated that the man’s death could have been suspicious, as the 112 emergency call reported that the man had been stabbed, these have since been quashed.
The 50 year old male foreigner died of natural causes according to an autopsy carried out at the Instituto Anatómico Forense de Arrecife. The van was parked in the area of Papelillo at the far end of the beach popular with kite surfers. A couple raised the alarm at 14:58 after realising the man inside the van was dead.
