Tourist Death In Famara
A 48 year old Czech tourist died on Famara beach yesterday. Emergency services were alerted that there was someone in distress in the water at 2042 yesterday evening. A maritime rescue helicopter was scrambled and located his body two hours later. It was the first day of his two week holiday on the island.
Tourist Translation Services Proposed For Police
The Business Confederation has proposed that each of the three tourist resorts in Lanzarote should have much better translation services available for tourists who need to make a denuncia or complaint. In a meeting with the Cabildo’s tourism minister, the President of the confederation proposed that small police offices should be installed next to tourist information offices and be manned by multi lingual staff. read more »
