We went to a presentation at The Arrecife Gran Hotel yesterday, given by a German company that compiles statistics for travel agencies. Their data is based on information collected from travel bookings made by travel agents - in the case of the UK around 250,000 sets of data per week.
The session was entitled Fortunata and was attended by representatives from The Cabildo, Promotur, hotel owners and travel agencies.
We’ve pulled out some of the interesting numbers which came out of it, and note these relate to the whole of The Canaries, not just Lanzarote. Also, because they are based on tour operators and travel agency information, these numbers don’t include bookings made direct with owners of apartments and villas for private rental. read more »
