It was announced today that Lowcosttravel Group has called in administrators. The company, founded in 2004, and with 500 staff consisted of the lowcostholiday(.)com website and a B2B arm called lowcostbeds selling holidays to other agents.
They are not ABTA bonded.
The UK company caused some controversy in 2013 when they relocated their head office to Mallorca, at which point they ceased to offer ABTA bonding for their clients. The row at that time was reported in The Telegraph: Low Cost Holidays in Row Over Protection. read more »
