SARA are opening their doors for an open day “Jornada de Puertas Abiertas Por La Primavera” at their animal shelter in Lanzarote on Saturday 6th April.
The Spring Open Day is a chance to visit the facilities at La Protectora de Animales y Plantas SARA, which is situated just off the main road Carretera Tahiche-San Bartolomé near the Fundación César Manrique. This charity organisation was established back in 1986 by a group of people concerned about the rising number of dogs and cats in need of help in Lanzarote. The shelter is home to at least 150 dogs and 70 cats and rely on regular contributions, to help feed and care for these pets who are waiting for adoption.
The centre will be open from 10:30 to 17:00, information will be available on the importance of sterilizing cats, a table of goods for sale, fun activities for children as well as food & drink.
