We met friends in the old town area of Puerto del Carmen to try the new restaurant Bacco situated on calle Roque Nublo.
The interior of Bacco is nicely furnished and air conditioned, with the bar running the length of the dining room. There’s a few tables outside on the terrace, plus the salon at the back which would be perfect for a group or special occasion.
Bacco offer a variety of dishes on their menu, including daily specials, nibbles (tapas), starters and main courses from the land & sea. We decided to order a couple of nibbles rather than a starter, plus a main course. A box of warm bread was brought to the table with a cute selection of oil, salt, garlic butter and mojo mojo condiments.
When our nibbles of mini hamburgers and arepas arrived priced at only €2,10 each I wondered how we were going to fit our main course in! Miguel picked the chicken tikka masala arepa, and I ordered the black pig with beetroot version. These crunchy little pockets were well stuffed and delicious, served with an ample portion of fries. We both chose the lamb version of the mini hamburgers with roasted vegetables and honey. The burgers were a good size for “mini” ones, the lamb was tasty and succulent, again served with fries. read more »
