Property owners beware, the first of June is fast approaching, which is the start date for the enforcement of the Certificado de Eficiencia Energetica (CEE) in Spain.
We have previously published details of this energy certificate which is required for all properties advertised for sale or rent within Spain. Fortunately we can now advise of a qualified Environmental Surveyor who speaks English who can help to prepare a certificate for your apartment or villa in Lanzarote.
Olivia Roux is based in Lanzarote, she speaks English as well as French & Spanish and has already surveyed properties for their energy reports ahead of the deadline. Don’t wait until your estate agent or rental agent chases you for a copy of your energy certificate, book your appointment now ahead of the rush.
The only exemption to the certificate is a stand alone property of up to 50m2, all others will need an energy certificate in the future to rent out or sell your property. We can assure you that Olivia has completed all of the required training and is working in conjunction with a technical architect which means they have access to the official government software and additionally will make sure that your certificate is stamped & referenced by the relevant authority in Lanzarote.
