A new media company called Biosfera RadioTelevisión is being launched in Lanzarote.
EFE correspondent Salvador Hernández Nieves is behind the multimedia project. The media channels already exist as Nueve TV & Nueve Radio, a company that Salvador has been a director since it’s inception 14 years ago. The name change heralds a new beginning with Hernández taking over sole proprietorship.
Biosfera Radio will be broadcast on 98.6 FM, the programme includes a variety of music and sports coverage. Listeners can tune in to an informative morning session with reporter Jaime Puig.
Biosfera TV is the flagship of the new project, it’s main objective is to get close to the citizens of Lanzarote, so that they can act as a spokesmen, voicing their opinions to the institutions. La Tertulia will remain the star programme of the television channel featuring reporters Manu Riveiro, Ussoa Ibarra, Jaime Puig & Alberto Acosta who are due to be joined by more professionals in the future.
Both of the radio and television channels are currently broadcast only in Spanish, so something to tune in to when you want to practise your Spanish language skills.
We’d like to wish Salvador all the best with his new venture ¡Suerte!
