Seventeen teams have signed up for the 20th edition of the motor racing event Rallysprint Tomás Viera which takes place in Lanzarote this weekend.
The course is along the lanes connecting the village of El Cuchillo to Soo in the municipality of Tinajo. It might not have the pull of the likes of the Subida de Haria, or Isla de Lanzarote races but spectators should still enjoy some action as the cars race to beat their times in both directions along this section of road.
Teams from Toyota Enma, Racing Tías, Maspalomas, Mazo Sport and Aterura are participating, the cars will be verified at the sociedad Yacomar from 10:30 – 11:30. Racing starts at 14:00 with a test run in either direction before 2 goes each way to record their best times.
Part of the Campeonato Insular de Lanzarote, the event is organised by Federación de Las Palmas.
The Slalom Isla de Lanzarote has been scheduled to take place in La Santa for the following Saturday 20th July.
