The Cabildo of Lanzarote congratulated local companies who were distinguished at Agrocanarias 2013.
Bodegas Reymar won a gold medal (Medalla de Oro de Agrocanarias) in the sweet wine category for their moscatel Los Perdomos, cosecha de 2012.
Finca de Uga won the prize for the Best Image and Presentation (Mejor Imagen y Presentación 2013) for their Secreto del Majo cheese and a gold medal (Medalla de Oro de Agrocanarias) for the category queso curado de mezcla.
At a separate event, Bodegas Stratvs won 'Alimentos de España al Mejor Vino 2013' for their Stratvs Moscatel licor 2006.
President, Pedro San Ginés congratulated the Lanzarote wine and cheese makers on behalf of the corporation of their success and national recognition, highlighting the excellent production and marketing of these Spanish food products. Both the president and Francisco Fabelo, the Minister for Agriculture & Livestock in Lanzarote were pleased that once again the island receives the distinctions deserved in these regional and national events, demonstrating the professionalism of a growing industry, driven each day to produce high quality products from our earth. In turn this contributes to sustaining the landscape and an important part of the island’s economy.
