Canarian airports are expecting 2.3 million passengers to travel between the 21st December 2012and 8th January 2013.
For the island of Lanzarote, this means 335,096 passengers for Christmas and New Year through the airport at Arrecife.
Saturdays are the most popular day to fly with the 22nd December the most popular over the Christmas period with 1,171 flights and 177,183 passengers arriving across the seven Canary Islands. The second busiest day is Saturday 5th January with 165,372 and third is the middle Saturday 29th December with 164,468 passengers.
