Kaboti Surf is situated in the heart of Playa Blanca, owners Mónica and Agustín offer surf and SUP lessons, equipment hire and holidays in Lanzarote.

Whilst the surf school base is situated just off the town beach in the holiday resort of Playa Blanca, the surf lessons normally take place on Famara beach. Kaboti Surf is one of the official schools registered with the Federación Canaria de Surf, so you can be sure that you are in the hands of qualified and professional teachers.

Agustín has been surfing since a child, he’s lived in Brasil, California and Costa Rica following his passion for surfing. His life has been spent travelling and competing in championships to gain the experience and qualifications necessary to reach his dream of opening his own surf school.

Mónica is from Madrid and has lived in the USA and Netherlands. With a Masters Degree behind her, Mónica is the brains of the business, managing the day to day operations, although never too far away from the surf when there’s an opportunity.

The couple consider themselves very lucky, they’ve had such a good fun since opening Kaboti Surf and really love their work, which they attribute to their clients for being such amazing people.

Learn to Surf (Beginners & Intermediate Courses)

Choose from just a one day experience to a three or five day course at basic and intermediate level, or if you prefer not to be in a group personal one to one tuition is also available. The basics include how to use your equipment, the different kinds of waves, safety in the water and technique so that you know how to sit on the board, paddle, duck dive, visualise the wave and take off. The intermediate course covers advance techniques so that you know which waves to select, your position on the line up, synchronisation, how to stand up, how to leave a wave and how to surf the scapes of a wave.

Stand Up Paddle (SUP)

If you like water sports, you’ll love Stand Up Paddle, it’s something you can master quite easily and enjoy from your first experience. The best thing about SUP is that you can even do it when the sea is calm, Kaboti offer lessons on the town beach in Playa Blanca and excursions around the bay to Papagayo. Stand up Paddle is suitable for all ages and abilities, it’s easy to learn and good fun.

Surfaris

If you can already surf and want to get some practice in then Kaboti know the best spots on the island to take you to. Surfing can be a dangerous sport and it’s not something that you should do solo or in a place you don’t know. Lanzarote has a variety of breaks across the island, with some challenging surf especially during the winter months. The Kaboti Surf bus offers a shuttle service from the holiday resorts, or you can meet the group at the beach if you have your own transport. They even bring a professional photographer to capture you in action on the day.
