It's that time of the year again, Norway is celebrating it's National Day, also here at Lanzarote.
May 17 is the big day...unfortunately Ironman is on the same day, but since only six Norwegian athletes are participating and the Ironman manager refused to postpone the triathlon...we will still have our traditional 17th of May breakfast!
This year we are also celebrating the 200 year anniversary for a free Norway!
May 17th 1814 Norway got it's own constitution, and left the union with Denmark. Then we had a common king with Sweden until June 7, 1905.
