The BBC blog for Doctor Who confirmed on Sunday that their production team is heading to Lanzarote, they’re actually already here.

The filming is being kept under close wraps, the production team have already set up camp at El Cuervo volcano in the Timanfaya National Park, which is closed to visitors during this time. The new series of Doctor Who returns to television this Autumn, Hermione Norris will guest star with The Doctor played by Peter Capaldi, the actress commented ‘It’s exciting to be part of such an iconic show, and one that my kids can watch!!!’
Steven Moffat, the lead writer and Executive Producer for the series, said ‘It’s a testament to the quality of Peter Harness’s intense and emotional script, that we’ve been able to attract an actress of the brilliance of Hermione Norris.
