Around 1,350 people are expected to participate in the wine run on Sunday, today is the last chance for runners / walkers to register.
The food and wine Traditional Cuisine Festival opens in Mancha Blanca at 18:00 on Saturday for the evening, and then again at 11:00 until 16:00 on Sunday afternoon.
We would recommend avoiding the LZ-30 road from San Bartolomé to Uga during Sunday morning as there will be intermittent cuts to the traffic flow as required between Bodegas La Geria and Bodegas El Grifo. The long run (23km) departs from Bodegas La Geria at 09:00, the finish line is next to the church in Mancha Blanca, where the winners will take home their weight in wine! The runners & walkers of the 10km will depart from Bodegas El Grifo around 10:30.
There are plenty of food and wine stalls to tempt you at the gastronomy festival with 11 restaurants, 5 wineries, 5 dairies and 5 other cuisine stands participating over the weekend. Plus the Expowinerun, cultural activities and two concerts with Boulevard performing at 20:30 on Saturday and Salva Pantallas at 14:15 on Sunday. The gastronomy tasting tickets are normally priced at €1 per tapa or drink and sold in denominations of €5.
