The Cabildo of Lanzarote have added three archaeological routes to the Red de Senderos on the island.
Tourists and residents are encouraged to discover these three new routes which include the archaeological heritage sites of Los Pozos de San Marcial, Zonzamas & Montaña Blanca. The island council intend to co-ordinate visits from the education centres so that the younger generation can learn about the historical and cultural heritage of Lanzarote.
Montaña Blanca
The Governing Council have approved plans to erect information panels on Montaña Blanca in Tías, explaining the traditional agricultural methods, our historic way of conveying water, aspects of the relief and the formation of the island, as well as the manifestations of the aboriginal population of Lanzarote, known as Los Majos.
