Blanca Manchón is a Professional Olympic Spanish windsurfer. She has been training at the Marina Rubicón Sailing Center in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote since the beginning of the month alongside her brother Curro Manchón, who is also her trainer.

She seems to have taken on board the advice from Olympic medallists in the 49er class Iker Martínez and Xabi Fernández who know the area well and recommended it for the objectives she has in mind this year.
Blanca has five world champion titles among many other accolades that she’s won since the tender age of 17 and is currently ranked 5th in the ISAF RS:X Class.
Apart from a talent for windsurfing, Blanca also has a head for business: being the face of Nike and Blondy Wetsuits, her own personal line of wetsuits for women; having had a go at modelling; and being part in the family business Living-Sevilla Apartments. She also likes to surf when her hectic schedule allows it. We do wonder, does she ever get the chance?
We love to hear news of more and more elite sports people coming over to our island all the time, consolidating it further as a sports destination.
Blanca will be leaving Lanzarote on Valentine's Day. We do hope that by then she has fallen in love with Lanzarote and returns in the not so distant future.
Good luck with your objectives, Blanca!
