A new Saturday Sailing Club for children is starting at the marina in Puerto Calero with Endeavour Sailing.
For the first time in Lanzarote, children aged from 8 years old will be able to experience the exhilaration of learning to sail in a J80. Keelboat training is exciting, it has all the thrills of dinghy sailing but combined with the stability of a yacht, it’s a must for anyone wanting to learn how to sail.
The J80’s are amazing boats, at 8 metres long they offer great stability, so no capsizing! Tuition will be given by trained RYA Keelboat instructors with a student to instructor ratio of 4:1. Plus the keelboats are coded to UK safety standards, so parents can relax knowing the children are in safe hands learning a new hobby.
Endeavour Sailing are offering a choice of morning 10:00 – 13:00 or afternoon 14:00 – 17:00 sessions for the Saturday Club Keelboat Training Course. The initial course starts on the 8th of March for 6 weeks up to and including the 12th of April. The price of the course is €200 per child, who having completed the 6 weeks training will qualify for their RYA Keelboat Level 1 certificate.
